In quintet music with double bass, two major works stand out: Antonín Dvorák's String Quintet Op. 77 and the "Trout Quintet" by Franz Schubert. If you stay in the genre and look for other works in these occupations, you will be pleased to see that there are a variety of wonderful pieces, but today, unfortunately, are completely unknown and barely played.
In 2000, the fabergé - quintett had the opportunity to perform a few chamber concerts after the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra 's Japan tour with Günter Wand, and has since devoted himself to this task.

In the meantime, the fabergé quintet appeared at the Schleswig - Holstein Music Festival, the West Coast Chamber Music Days, several chamber music series and of course also the NDR. It played 2014 in Tongyeong, South Korea and 2017 in China.

So far four CDs have been released by the fabergé-quintett label ES-DUR Hamburg:
The first with string quintets by Adolphe Blanc received in 2014 as the first recording of these works the ECHO Klassik in the category Chamber Music Recording of the Year (music 19th century) / strings.

In the same year, the second CD with the piano quintets by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Hermann Goetz with Yoko Kikuchi appeared on the piano.

On the third CD you can hear the piano sextets by Mikhail Glinka, Sergei Lyapunov and Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Here Ulrike Payer plays the piano.

In 2021 the fabergé-quintet focused back to string quintets. In September 21 the fourth CD was released with two string quintets by Eugène Walckiers again as a premiere recording. In March 2022 it was awarded the Diapason découverte by the French magazine Diapason.

All publications have received much attention and have since been widely broadcasted by various radio stations.
In addition to the print media, there were also positive reviews at radio stations like NDR, WDR, HR, SWR, BR, rbb, Deutschlandfunk and the BBC as well.
